DIVYA KOTAWALA A MULTITASKER WOMAN| Business women | Writer| Perfect Woman Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine

Born and brough-up in Delhi, Divya Gupta Kotawala, wears several hats – a wife, a mother to a 16year-old girl , a business women and a loyal friend to a bunch of quadragenarian, whom she has known for nearly four decades! However, the role that she has cherished the most in her life is that of the daughter of her father – Shri Suresh Gupta. Divya lost her father to COVID in 2021…that pushed Divya to turn an author for the first time at the age of 40!

Divya completed her schooling from Modern School, Barakhamba Road,
Later she joined the prestigious St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, where she did her honours in History. Thereafter, in pursuit of her passion for designing and creativity, Divya joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), for a course in fashion designing after which she joined renounced fashion designers Ashima and Leena singh for her internship.

For Divya, life has been all about simplicity, creative and maintaining a healthy balance between her personal, professional and social life. When not struggling between these she loves to devote her time to social welfare work. Divya also has a strong spiritual side,she enjoys chanting and praying and is an ardent follower of Guruji.

A once super happy and fun person as Divys fell into a deep ditch of mourning and grief after losing her beloved dad. She feels that she has finally found her true calling and purpose through this book that made her revisit her oldest passion of writing and communicating her feelings and emotions through words to not only too her hero in heaven but also with the world.

Her book ‘My dads daughter’ not only gave her father a perfect farewell that he truly deserved but it also gave a new meaning to Divya’s life…since then she has involved herself in various activities that helped not only her heal but also many others like her who went though a loss and suffered extreme outburst of grief and pain …her new journey became a medium for her to transform her pain into her biggest strength

Today she is involved with recording Podcasts, public motivational speaking opportunities that help her connect with more n more people dealing with grief everyday who have failed to find closures, for her work she has been awarded and recognised by various platforms and she has recently won the ‘Entrepreneurs today 40 under 40 award for 2023!! Also has been selected as a speaker for the delhi literature festival ,ashhwaika’s foundation women’s day celebration, jashn events literature festival , womenlisted event, and has recorded podcasts for many well known platforms.

Divya is very actively involved in various well connected networking groups of delhi such as Ficci( yflo ) Cii ( Iwn) , Ladies who lead , BNI that gives her an opportunity to share her journey with many more people across India everyday !
