Monsoon CTM Routine DIYs by Dr Sukhmani Kaur Gill

Follow simple skincare DIYs from home for healthy & glowing skin steps:

  • Step 1 – Cleansing: Begin your skincare routine with the first step to follow: apply the cleanser twice a day with a good soap-free mild cleanser. There are various brands in the market, choose the one that is fragrance free and is gentle on all skin types.
  • Step 2 – Exfoliation: Next important step to follow in monsoon to avoid oiliness and breakouts. There are two types of exfoliators – Physical and Chemical. Physical includes scrubs, and chemical includes aH’s and bH’s acid liquids. During the monsoons, chemical exfoliation is recommended for normal to dry skin.
  • Step 3 – Moisturiser: It’s time to moisturise your skin after cleansing! This step is generally missed by 90% of people, but this is a must-step to follow. Instead of heavy cream-based moisturisers, use lightweight/gel based moisturisers. That gives a hydroboost to your well exfoliated skin.
  • Step 4 – Sunscreen: No matter what season it is, don’t step out without applying sunscreen. Recommend to use lightweight sunscreen. If you have acne or prone skin, use gel sunscreen and for reapplying, use powder sunscreen. One should also apply sunscreen while at home, it does wonders to the skin when applied regularly.
  • Step 5 – Makeup: Final and the last step to conclude the skincare routine for the day. Try to avoid doing makeup during the monsoon, and if you can’t step out without makeup, try to use a lightweight foundation and products because there is a lot of pollution and particles that will damage your skin and block the pores. Recommended to use tinted sunscreen, which is the best to avoid heavy makeup.
