Foul play alleged in Kannada actress Chethana Raj’s surgery by her uncle

Kannada television actress Chethana Raj passed away at the age of 21 at a private hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka. She was admitted on Monday, May 16, for ‘fat-free’ plastic surgery Chetana breathed her last after she developed complications after her plastic surgery. Chethana Raj, who was known for her roles in Geetha and Doresani, got admitted to Shetty’s Cosmetic Centre in Rajajinagar in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on May 16.

According to the portal IndiaToday.in, Chethana’s uncle Rajappa has alleged that the plastic surgery did not go as planned. Anaesthetist Melvin, along with the doctors who performed the plastic surgery, brought Chethana to Kaade Hospital at 5.30 pm after she developed complications. They threatened the doctors at Kaade hospital to treat her as a person who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Doctors at Kaade Hospital initiated CPR and despite trying for 45 minutes, Chethana could not be revived. ICU intensivist Dr Sandeep wrote a complaint to the inspector of Basaveshwaranagar Police Station. He had mentioned that Chethana was declared dead at 6.45 pm. He also added that the doctors at Shetty’s Cosmetic Centre were aware that Chethana had already passed away.
