About Divya Johari Resu
A journalist, writer, poetess, and young, full-time working mother, Divya Johari Resu is a pretty voluble, strong, vivacious and fearless woman who beautifully manages her professional life with her commitments. Being extremely passionate about life and poems, she pens down every thought – right from her opinions to core emotions to little joys to grief to others felt. Being a mother of a toddler, she is an avid multitasker. Her expression of emotions has always been her forte that directly touches a chord. Her poetry in Little Do We Know reflects her life lessons during her journey from being a Page 3 journalist to a successful hardworking mother. Adding to this, she is a true enthusiast in reviving literary as well as other forms of art. Starting early as a poetess has honed her craft over a period. A triple post-graduate, she has established herself as a prominent face in the field of journalism. Besides, not only is she approachable, but also very efficient in PR skills. When not writing poetry, Divya can usually be found reading a book, and that book will more likely than not be the latest gripping page-turner one. Blogging has always been on her bucket list, and eventually, it became a reality. She also writes non-fiction, on subjects ranging from
films to startups to personal finance to astronomy. And, if you don’t find her absorbed with her daughter, Shivantika, she does spend far too much time at her laptop. She lives in India, with her family.
Talking about her family, specifically her daughter, the genesis of Little Do We Know took place while she was expecting her first child. The book comprises poetry about human emotions, from one’s falls to crawls and rising above them. Divya believes that her inspiration behind her poetry and the book is her daughter, family, friends, teachers, mentors – strong support system and her will and passion to do so.
