What is your definition of success?
To me, success is a really personal thing—it’s about the journey from who we were to who we’ve become.
I don’t buy into the idea that success is all about fame or popularity. What really matters is the experiences that shape us along the way. That’s the true essence of success.
What role has failure played in your journey to success?
Honestly, my early years were filled with failures. I got fired while trying to find my footing in the corporate world. I had average grades in college. Looking back, I realize that failure is crucial. It builds resilience and helps you appreciate success. I noticed that failure often leads to being labeled as incompetent, and that label can stick. Now that I run my own company, I make it a point not to stereotype people for their mistakes. I encourage my team to learn from failures and move forward. If someone grows from their mistakes, that’s what really counts.
How did you overcome challenges or setbacks along the way?
It was tough, to be honest. Setbacks affected my work and mental state, but I kept pushing forward.
My motto became, “If you’re in a bad place, why stop there?” I just gritted my teeth and kept working hard.
Looking back, it feels surreal—I didn’t see the results back then, but those challenges made me stronger. If you face setbacks, just remember, you’ll always find a way to stand back up.
What are your thoughts on work/life balance?
It’s so important to know where to draw the line. You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Working in a traditional office drained me, especially with those long commutes. Switching to remote work was a game-changer. It finally allowed me to focus on my health and personal life. Having time for the gym made such a big difference, and I’m really grateful for that positive change.
What advice would you give to someone starting their own journey to success?
I think we often put too much pressure on success. For anyone starting their journey, I’d say be patient. Life has its ups and downs, and setbacks are part of the process. Don’t get discouraged—learn something from your failures, and keep that patience.
