Good news for Mumbaikars! By June, water concerns were resolved

After a four-month hiatus, the water storage in the dam that supplies water to Mumbai has finally crossed the previous year’s water storage level in October. However, the average water storage in the year 2021 has not reached anything. However, due to this year’s overall average, the worries of Mumbaikars till next June have been resolved.
This year, after heavy rains in June and July, the rains subsided after mid-August. Even though the month of September dawned, the rain was pouring down. Therefore, water cut was a hanging sword for Mumbai. Seeing the fury of the rain, the municipal administration was in a mood to take a decision to cut water.
But as the rains began to fall heavily again, the water storage in the dam area, which supplies water to Mumbai, gradually increased. After the first fortnight of September, the rain began to subside. But the riprap continued for the whole month. What is special is that due to the continuous rains in the dam area, the water storage was increasing day by day.
It is still raining intermittently. Once again, heavy rain warning has been given especially in Konkan region. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has announced that the rains have started to recede in Mumbai. In the next few days, rain will move the stay in Mumbai. This year, the rains stopped for four months. This prolonged stay of rain brought great relief to the dam area.
