With bated breath and eager hearts

students hailing from 45 schools in and around Cuttack converged at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, the hallowed battleground for this intellectual showdown. The numbers were impressive, with approximately 500 students participating in both the junior and senior categories.

At the helm of this intellectual extravaganza was none other than Quiz Master Gautam Bose, a seasoned pro in the world of quizzing. His task was simple yet challenging: to fire a barrage of sports-related questions at the eager participants. And fire he did, with questions that spanned the spectrum of sporting knowledge.

What unfolded was nothing short of spectacular. The students, armed with their reservoirs of sports trivia, answered with remarkable speed and accuracy. Legends from the world of sports, their contributions, achievements, and even the latest entrants in the sporting arena were dissected with precision.

As the competition unfolded

it became evident that these young minds had not only studied the history of sports but also internalized it. Their confidence and knowledge left both the Quiz Master and the audience in awe.

The culmination of this intense intellectual tussle saw deserving victors crowned. In the junior category, the duo of Swarit Kumar Swain and Priyanshu Pratik Pradhan from DAV Public School, Sec-6, Cuttack, clinched the coveted first prize. Sriyanshu Sahoo and Subham Mishra from DAV Public School, Rajabagicha, Cuttack, secured a respectable second place, while Kirti Kaibalya Parida and Subhranshu Saho from DAV Public School, Rajabagicha, claimed the third spot.

Moving to the senior level

Ayushman Nayak and Soumyajeet Swain of LR DAV Public School, Cuttack, emerged as the champions. Ankit Kumar Swain and Kaushik Behera of DAV Public School, CDA, as well as Omm Pratik Samal & Dharmaraj Sahoo from DAV SCB Medical Public School, Cuttack, displayed their mettle by securing the second and third positions, respectively.

The victors were not just showered with applause but also a well-deserved bounty of rewards. Certificates, shields, medals, and a cash prize of ₹6,000 per team for the winners and ₹4,000 for the runners-up were awarded. The third prize winners didn’t leave empty-handed either, each receiving ₹3,000 as recognition of their prowess.

This event wasn’t just a one-off spectacle;

it’s part of a larger mission. The same intellectual battlefield will soon spread its wings to Brahmapur, Sambalpur, and Rourkela, giving students across Odisha a chance to participate. Registration is a breeze, with an online link – https://forms.office.com/r/yL4EPU7HZ9 – providing an easy entry point. In essence, this Sports Quiz wasn’t merely a competition;

it was a celebration of knowledge, a testament to the bright young minds of Odisha, and a promise of more intellectual adventures to come. The collaboration between Hindu Future India Club and Odisha Mining Corporation, like the questions posed, was complex and multifaceted. Yet, the result was beautifully bursty, with the highs and lows of a gripping quiz contest. It’s a shining example of how education and sports can join hands to inspire and elevate a generation.
