Tell us about your new release ‘Awaara’?

Awaara is a foot-tapping melody that will just make you happy, the sole purpose of writing the song. Written by Rivothe song is composed by Rakesh Venkatapuram.

The discussion with Rakesh (who was a part of the tour) started during Neha Kakkar North America tour. Our discussion started in Seattle (I was in Seattle at that time) later conceptualized in Silicon Valley, written in Kolkata, the music was composed in Hyderabad by Rakesh, audio was mixed and mastered in Bangalore by Praveen Muralidhar. Vocals were recorded and the video shoot took place in the Bay area. We leveraged the digital world and technology because we can do so.

What were the challenges you faced during the pandemic while creating the music sitting out of the US?

Challenges can be turned around if you have the mindset to do so.

The music industry has become very digital, what is your take on that?

Yes, The music industry has gone digital. I think every major industry with the exception to a handful has adopted remote working, leverages online and digital platforms. The entertainment industry was one of those that was severely hit during the pandemic. It didn’t take a long time for the industry to realize that and what we saw that came out if it were a lot of innovative ways of entertaining the world.

What is your personal preference, live performances, or music composition?

I think both have their charm, energy, and a quotient of attraction. when you are up in front of a live audience the energy they bring along with them is infectious. It’s a  relationship between an artist and the audience which is a major driving factor during those few hours  Writing a composition, on the other hand, is a spiritual experience, you get deeply involved and it becomes a part of you. The experience that comes out is completely different and when you have the opportunity to do both, you grow as an artist.

How do you usually come up with various concepts?

Life experiences, events that happen in our daily lives, imagination, emotions… some of these inspire me

What is coming up next after this?

My compositions…I will leave it that and will share more info soon
